the tramuntana. It is located at L'Escala's southernmost point . Its round shape has given rise to the suggestion that it may have been the site of an ancient sinkhole, a depression which has then been further eroded by sea action. There are a number of tourist facilities along the strand and various services on the beach proper, including disabled toilets. Close to the Montgrí, Medes and Baix Ter Natural Park, this beach leads to a right side coastal footpath towards Ventosa Point. On the left side, a walkboard leads to a trying climb towards , which was built to warn of pirate attacks. There is a car park close to the beach. Montgó Tower
